Placement is quick, usually just a few minutes, but people experience it differently. Some feel mild discomfort, while others have significant cramping or pain. Most find pain eases after the procedure. Ask about pain control so you'll know what's available and what to expect.
Please come to your visit with your questions and a summary of your medical history, including the date of your last period. This method will require a physical exam. Please keep in mind that clinic registration and visit processes vary by location.

📅 First Weeks

Cramping and spotting are normal at first — heating pads and over-the-counter pain relief can help.

🩸 Periods

Heavier bleeding and more cramping can happen for a few cycles before leveling out for most but may persist throughout its use.

❌ Removal

Can be taken out at any time and for any reason, and fertility returns immediately.
